Farmers Market: Just the Beginning

Farmers Market
Thursday, July 6th
2 to 5 p.m.
Downtown Oglesby

The return of the downtown farmers market on Thursday, July 6th, also heralds the start of an activity-packed weekend in Oglesby.

The market is located in Senica Square, the grass lot on the north side of Walnut Street, across from the city parking lot at Dale and Walnut.

Offerings include fresh-picked produce, and a variety of home-baked breads, pies, and jams and jellies.  Ethnic goodies such as potato pancakes and potica lend an international flair to the market as well.
Locally-grow flowers and plants, hand-made baby items, soaps, crafts and candles round out the wares that can be purchased each week.
Vendors are asked to reserve a space in advance by calling 815-883-3389.  Space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

The farmers market is only one small piece of Oglesby's premier summer celebration, Summer Fun Fest, which runs from July 6th to 9th, and offers plenty of free and fun entertainment.
