Top of the class, eh? But how do you fair in the school of hard work?

You’re strong; we get it. But can you muscle through mind-bending riddles?

Sure, you may have some wits, but can you keep them when the pressure is on?

The Scramble is "just enough 'strenuous' with
the perfect amount of 'silly,' " says organizer Becky Clinard.
Oglesby will put all sorts of racers to the test as it hosts its fifth-annual Scramble, the city’s version of Amazing Race thrown together with an old-fashioned scavenger hunt--the only one of its kind in the area.

This year’s Scramble will take place on Saturday, October 18th, at 11:30 a.m. Scrambling twosomes will begin at City Hall and traipse around town, solving clues, tackling riddles and laughing through physical tasks. For their efforts, teams could take home one of a handful of hefty cash prizes, including a $300 first prize.

The Scramble is only one small part of the annual Harvest Fest, which will this year be rolled together with the city’s traditional Halloween festivities. The day will boast a large farmers market and craft sale, kids costume parade, and a special evening for families that includes hot dogs and s’mores around a bonfire, a petting zoo, wagon rides, face painting and pumpkin decorating. Adults can wind down in the evening on a local pub crawl, new to the line-up this year.

You'll find all sorts of harvest goodies at our special Harvest Marketplace.
